Good Dancer illuminates the challenges of disability within romantic relationships and the comedy and sadness of growing out of your parents’ arms and into the arms of a life partner. Commissioned by The Apothetae, a theater company dedicated to the creation of full-length plays about the Disabled Experience, the play is directed by Mike Donahue and features Gregg Mozgala (Enter the Faun), Shyko Amos (Grace from An Octoroon at Soho Rep), Cathy Curtin (Wanda Bell from Orange is the New Black), Angela Polite, Alvin Keith, and Michael Cullen.
The work-in-progress showing will be followed by a moderated artist-audience dialogue.
